To deliver on-demand authentication services via SMS.

San Francisco, USA: 04 August 2014 Leading global business SMS provider, MessageMedia, today announced that it has joined the RSA Secured Partner Program and certified interoperability between MessageMedia and the RSA® Authentication Manager from RSA, the Security Division of EMC.

The RSA Secured Partner Program certification means that administrators using RSA Authentication Manager can now use MessageMedia for delivery of one-time passwords via text messages for on-demand authentications.

Mark Rothert, USA President, MessageMedia said the company’s 100% uptime messaging gateway would offer RSA customers direct delivery of highly secured messaging.

“We are very excited to join the RSA Secured Partner Program and to achieve interoperability certification. MessageMedia increases message reliability and dependency for enterprise communication by offering local delivery of all SMS.

“Our SMS gateway was specifically developed for the enterprise market. Since the first roll out in 2000, MessageMedia has been used by more than 15,000 companies worldwide in applications such as IT Alerts and Notifications, 2-Factor Authentication, SMS job dispatch, Customer Relationship Management, messaging, and many more,” he said.

MessageMedia features dynamic network re-routing, reducing downtime for enterprise customers. Stand out benefits of MessageMedia’s gateway includes:

  • Out-of-the box (seamless) integration with RSA AM8.1 SP4
  • Support for HTTP and HTTPs, for secure transactions
  • Support for multiple SMS message formats (Text, Flash SMS and Message Overwrite)
  • Filter rules for mobile number matching and pre-processing
  • Simple web-based configuration
  • Zero maintenance appliances
  • Messages are logged (Send, Queued, Failed) for recording and archiving

Sam Curry, CTO, Marketing for RSA, the Security Division of EMC said SMS-based authentication has emerged as a convenient and cost-effective choice to help protect identities and manage access to corporate resources, but suggests not all on-demand authentication solutions are created equal.

“MessageMedia gives enterprises visibility and control of SMS delivery to only those end users provisioned with on-demand authentication credentials. It’s an additive solution to RSA Authentication Manager for those enterprises seeking flexible on-demand authentication at lower costs,” he said.
