Who we are now
MessageMedia was founded in 2000 by Grant Rule, when he conceived the idea that businesses could utilise text messaging with great results. A prototype of the technology was developed, which included front-end software and an SMS gateway. Since those beginnings the company has grown to become the market leader in Australia and New Zealand.
The company has now expanded globally, with a head office in Melbourne, additional offices in Auckland, San Francisco and London, and a development hub in Ho Chi Minh. We have grown through acquisition and organic growth. We are the preferred choice for small to medium business but also provide solutions to large enterprises looking for ways to engage better with their customers.
